NoteMinder Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026
NoteMinder ("the App", "we", "us") is a notepad you draw on with your finger. This policy explains what the App does with your information. It is a short policy, because the App does very little.
- There are no accounts and no sign-in.
- The App does not use the network at all. It has no servers, and we receive nothing about you.
- Your drawings never leave your device.
- The App asks for no permissions — no location, no camera, no photos, no contacts, no microphone.
- There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Information the App Uses
Your drawings. Everything you draw is saved in the App's own storage on your device, along with a small image of each page used to show a preview in the home-screen grid. That is the entirety of what NoteMinder stores. It is never uploaded, never transmitted, and never seen by us.
The App does not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, health data, or device identifiers. It requests no system permissions of any kind, and it contains no advertising or analytics software.
Information We Receive
None. NoteMinder makes no network requests whatsoever — it has no backend, no API it talks to, and no third-party services embedded in it. We have no database, no logs, and no way to identify you or your device.
Third Party Services
Apple. The App is distributed through the App Store and TestFlight. Apple may collect download, crash, and usage statistics under its own privacy policy and the choices you have made in iOS Settings. If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers, we may see aggregate, anonymous crash and usage reports through App Store Connect; these are not linked to your identity and contain nothing you have drawn.
There are no other third-party services. NoteMinder embeds no advertising networks, no analytics packages, and no software development kits from other companies.
Backups
Your notes are stored inside the App's own storage on your device. If you back that device up to iCloud or to a computer, they are included in that backup in the ordinary way, and restoring the backup onto another device brings them with it. That backup is between you and Apple; it is governed by Apple's privacy policy, and we have no access to it and no knowledge of its contents.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because nothing is ever sent to us, there is nothing for us to keep or delete. On your device, deleting a note removes its drawing, and deleting NoteMinder removes the App's storage and every note in it. Neither can be undone, and no copy is retained anywhere.
Your Choices and Rights
- Individual notes: delete any note from the home-screen grid at any time
- Everything: deleting the App removes all data it holds
- Permissions: there are none to grant or revoke
Depending on where you live (for example Canada, the EU/EEA, the UK, or California), you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal information a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to produce or erase — but you are welcome to contact us at the address below with any question about this. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
Security
The App makes no network requests, so there is no transmission to intercept. Data stored on your device is protected by iOS app sandboxing and the device's own encryption.
Children's Privacy
NoteMinder is a general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). It collects no personal information from anyone, and it has no network connection through which anything could be shared.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here, and the "Last updated" date above shows when it was most recently revised.
